On Friday, December 1, 2023 the Heart of Alabama Food Bank kicked off the giving season with the annual WSFA 12’s Day of Giving event at Renfroe’s Market. The total raised was $33,039, 10,651 pounds of food and thousands of toys! All of it went to Toys for Tots, Christmas Clearinghouse and the Heart of Alabama Food Bank. Donations started pouring in bright and early at 5 AM and continued until the 7 PM. The Heart of Alabama Food Bank staff and board members were onsite the entire day collecting food and donations. Local businesses, organizations, and schools showed their support by dropping off boxes full of food items! The generosity of the community made this another successful WSFA 12’s Day of Giving. Every dollar donated and food item collected helps us continue our mission of Feeding Hope by Fighting Hunger!
