Host a Fund and Food Drive

Make an Impact in Your Community

Hunger affects thousands of families across Central Alabama every day—but you can make a difference by hosting a food or fund drive! Whether you’re an individual, business, school, faith group, or community organization, organizing a drive is a powerful way to provide meals to neighbors in need while raising awareness about food insecurity.

Why Host a Drive?

Food and fund drives help us keep our shelves stocked and allow us to provide nutritious meals to families, seniors, veterans, and children. Every contribution, big or small, helps put food on the table for those struggling to make ends meet.

Food Drives: Collect non-perishable food items to stock our partner pantries and meal programs.
Fund Drives: Raise monetary donations that allow us to purchase food in bulk and cover distribution costs.

Host a #GiveHealthy Food Drive

At the Heart of Alabama Food Bank, we’re committed not only to fighting hunger—but also to promoting health and wellness. A Give Healthy Food Drive is a modern, online food drive that allows individuals and organizations to donate nutritious, high-quality foods—like fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins—directly to HAFB.

Donations are made through a digital platform where supporters can “shop” from a curated list of healthy options selected by our team. Once the drive ends, the food is delivered directly to our warehouse—saving time, ensuring food quality, and meeting the real nutritional needs of our community.

It’s an easy, impactful way to support food-insecure families with the healthy food they deserve.
