July 13 | Heart of Alabama Food Bank
Looking for a meaningful way to spend time together this summer?
Join us for Family Action Day, a special volunteer experience designed for families with children ages 6+! This hands-on event allows young volunteers to learn about hunger in our community, discover how food banks work, and see firsthand how they can make a difference.
Participants will take part in age-appropriate volunteer activities, explore how food moves from donors to families in need, and learn why service matters. Most importantly, they’ll leave knowing that even small acts of kindness can have a BIG impact!
Family Action Day is more than just volunteering; it’s an opportunity to raise compassionate, community-minded leaders while creating memories together as a family.
